Oil light reset maintenance Buick Park Avenue

Reset service light indicator, engine oil life Buick Park Avenue, year 1991-2005 reset instructions:

1991-1994

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Use a paperclip to push and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds. The CHANGE OIL SOON indicator flashes to indicate the system is reset.
3. Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
*The RESET button is under the passenger side glove compartment

1995-2005

1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
2. Display the OIL LIFE INDEX on the Driver Information Centre.
3. Press and hold the RESET button for 5 seconds. The message RESET displays and the OIL LIFE INDEX changes to 100% to indicate the system is reset.
4. Turn the ignition off and start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
