Service light oil reset indicator Cadillac XLR

Reset service light indicator, engine oil life Cadillac XLR, year 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 reset instructions:

2004

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the TRIP button so the OIL LIFE % is displayed.
Press RESET and hold for 2 seconds. OIL LIFE REMAINING 100% will appear.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2005-2009

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the up or down arrow to scroll the DIC to show OIL LIFE.
Once the XXX% ENGINE OIL LIFE menu item is highlighted, press and hold the RESET button until the percentage shows 100%.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
